Traditional Genealogical Research

Each family history is unique and presents its own set of challenges. We utilize both traditional genealogical research methods and genetic genealogy analysis to help if you are just getting started, if you want to confirm or debunk folklore, if you are looking to answer a complex genealogical question, or if you need help to tackle a long-standing brick wall! Send us a message for an initial, no obligation, review to determine if and how we may be of assistance.

Our current research focuses include, but are not limited to:

  • Colonial New England

  • 18th, 19th, and 20th century United States of America, with emphasis in:

    • Florida, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania

Genetic Genealogy and particularly autosomal DNA can be used in conjunction with or independently of traditional genealogical research methods. We can use genetic genealogy to:

  • tackle long-standing brick walls

  • resolve matters of Adoption, Donor Conception, Unknown Parentage, and Misattributed Paternity

Whether you are a family historian hobbyist or a professional genealogist, everyone can benefit from a fresh perspective from time to time. We are available for consultation to share your current genealogical project, discuss new strategies, and share ideas for possible next steps.

Hiring a professional to transcribe a genealogical record can help ensure accuracy, efficiency, preservation, and accessibility of the information contained in the record. Whether you have a physical or digital genealogical record, we may be able to create a typed copy of the record for you to more easily read and share with others.

Not all genealogical records are available online or sometimes you may not have access to a specific online repository. In either scenario we may be able to assist with:

  • retrieving documents and records from several commercial repositories (when permitted by ToS)

  • obtaining and analyzing court documents including Probate, Divorce records, and Criminal case files

  • record retrieval and organization for lineage society applications

  • record retrieval from physical repositories in New Mexico including:

Pursuant to NMSA § 14-14A “Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts,” we are able to perform notarial acts including:

  • Acknowledgements

  • Administer oaths and affirmations

  • Jurats

  • Copy certifications (except vital records, public records, nor publicly recordable documents)

We have been a Notary Public since 2003. Our current commission expires 16 December 2027.

(Disclosure: We are not attorneys licensed to practice law. We are not allowed to draft legal documents, give advice on legal matters, or charge a fee for such activities.)
